Maya and the Envioroment
Last year, I had a sudden urge to look into the ancient Maya culture through different academic disciplines like anthropology, history, and theology. Not only is the Mayan culture amazing, but the fact that I am Latina made the idea of being a possible descendant of these people an honor.
In my research of the Maya's influences in our present day, from astrology to mathematics, I found that they also gave importance to the environment. Considering current political events, I found it a calling to continue this mission of the Maya by telling their story through animation. Therefore I I'm creating a new personal project. I will be only posting art and not story details in order to protect intellectual property.
